On October 10, 2025, Ambassador Jestas Abuok Nyamanga held fruitful discussions with a delegation from Sparkle S.p.A., an Italian telecommunications and ICT company, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Enrico Maria Bagnasco. The meeting was also attended by officials from the European Union and senior government officials from the United Republic of Tanzania, including Eng. Leo Magomba, Director of ICT Infrastructure at the Ministry of Information, Communication, and Information Technology (MICIT).
The discussions focused on advancing collaboration in the digital and ICT sectors and unlocking potential investments in ICT infrastructure and digital connectivity in the context of Tanzania-EU cooperation.
