On 17 October 2026, the Embassy joined members of the Tanzanian diaspora in Antwerp, Belgium, to witness a special friendly football match between two veterans’ teams: Serengeti Veterans of Belgium and Kilimanjaro FF Veterans of Sweden. The match, held in Antwerp, brought together Tanzanian nationals from Belgium and other parts of Europe, with Serengeti Veterans of Belgium emerging victorious.
The match was organised to bring Tanzanians together and strengthen unity, solidarity and cooperation among members of the Tanzanian diaspora living in Belgium and other European countries. It also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, preserve their cultural heritage and foster a strong sense of patriotism and continued attachment to their country of origin.
