On 20 September 2025, Amb. Jestas Abuok Nyamanga joined the Day of Wallonia celebrations in Namur, the capital of Wallonia, one of the three regions of Belgium. The Day of Wallonia is celebrated each third Sunday of September and commemorates the participation of the Walloons in the Belgian Revolution in 1830.
Amb. Nyamanga signed the Book of Congratulations on behalf of the Government and People of the United Republic of Tanzania, reaffirming Tanzania’s goodwill to the people of Wallonia and Belgium.
On the margins of the event, he held fruitful exchanges with H.E. Adrien Dolimont, Minister-President of Wallonia, and H.E. Maxime Prévôt, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium, focusing on strengthening Tanzania–Belgium relations across areas of shared interests
